By Aedrianne Acar

Former Las Hermanas star Yasmien Kurdi is all smiles, especially after she and her non-showbiz husband Rey Soldevilla have finally finished their mandatory quarantine.

It has been a rough couple of days for Yasmien's family after she and her daughter Ayesha Zara tested positive for the highly-contagious disease.

What's more, the whole country is experiencing a sharp increase in COVID-19 infections with the total number of COVID-19 cases now 3.24 million according to the Department of Health (DOH). Yesterday, the Philippines also registered a positivity rate of 46 percent.

Yasmien uploaded a groufie shot with her family and shared that her daughter has yet to complete her mandatory isolation, after getting sick.

“Finally #DAY7 Last day of #HomeQuarantine na namin ni Pangga… pero si #AyeshaZara may additional days to go pa then malaya na din siya #RoadToNegative na ang #FamiliaSoldevilla na #TeamPositive noon hehe.”

“#Labanlang #CovidJourney soon on my YT Channel #CovidStory.”

If you remember, Yasmien turned emotional during the lock-in taping of her afternoon soap, after she got sick.

She documented what happened to her via her vlog and stated the possible cause of her illness then. The StarStruck alumna explained, "Nagpa-consult ako kahapon sa doctor ko and then ang sabi niya sa akin is hindi raw siya nag-cause dahil sa asthma ko kung hindi raw dahil siguro naka-attract ako ng infection,"

The local entertainment industry has been reeling after several showbiz and news personalities contracted COVID-19 amid the ongoing surge including Chika Minute host Iya Villania-Arellano, GMA News pillar Arnold Clavio, and Pepito Manaloto star Pokwang.
