A lot of buzz was generated when DC Comics announced that Earth's current Superman, Jon Kent, was going to come out as bisexual in an upcoming issue of Superman: Son of Kal-El.
But while news of Superman being part of the LGBTQ+ community is sure to grab some headlines, this isn't the first time that a comic book character has come out of the closet. Throughout the years, various superheroes have come out as either gay, lesbian, or bisexual.
