For very practical reasons, Bryan del Rosario, member of the Kapuso millennial trio JBK, suggests asking your loved ones on what they want to receive as a gift.

He explains, “For me personally, gusto kong tinatanong family ko kung ano gusto nila, 'yung pinakagusto nila. Kasi gusto kong nakikita ko at alam kong gagamitin nila kahit ano mangyari.

"Practical and personal gift dapat. 'Pag nagbibigay ako ng gift, 'yung proud ka rin na makikita mo, 'Ah, magagamit nga niya.'”

Hannah Precillas's recommendation: Observe and find common interests.

If you can't or don't feel like directly asking what they want, Hannah Precillas advises you to observe and know the interests you havein common with that person.

She tells GMANetwork.com, “Kung ano 'yung similarity namin. Kung makikita niya 'yung bagay na 'yun 'pag kunwari hawak niya, 'Uy, pareho nga pala namin gusto ni Hannah 'to. Si Hannah nagbigay sa akin.' Maaalala niya ako sa bagay na 'yun, 'yun ang gift ko.”
