It seems as if Kapuso actress and beauty queen Winwyn Marquez will be adding a new title to her long list of accomplishments for the year!

The Glow Up host recently enrolled in a Basic Citizens Military Training and was even welcomed by Philippine Navy reservist officer Rocco Nacino.

The news was announced by Winwyn on her own Instagram account.

She wrote, “People are asking me why I want to do this… I simply said because I want to… that's it.

“No need for long explanations. We don't need to justify what we want to do, we can just show them what we woman CAN do.

“So thrilled to be joining the Basic Citizens Military Training Batch 2020.

“Thank you @nacinorocco for opening my eyes to this and thank you to our Naval Reserve Command Chief Brigadier General Ariel R. Caculitan for the inspiring stories and words you told us earlier.”

In a private message with GMANetwork.com, Winwyn further expounded that she always had plans of joining the said class.

“Naku, [there's] no special kuwento behind it. I just wanted to join, matagal na. Si Rocco 'yung nag-explain sa group namin and part na talaga siya ng Navy Reserve kaya siya nandun.”

For his part, Rocco welcomed the actress on board and even gave a piece of advice.

He wrote in the comments section, “Let's go wyn!!! @teresitassen welcome on board and enjoy the training!”

Aside from being an actress and beauty queen, Winwyn Marquez also holds a Teacher's Certificate after graduating from Southville International School.
