Here are the next best alternatives to keep car enthusiasts entertained while on extended quarantine.

Most probably, your car has been parked for most of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), and driving to the supermarket or drug store every once in a while is the closest you're gonna get to have a joy ride during the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

Not being able to satisfy your need for speed or your desire to see jaw-dropping cars at shows can be frustrating. But, of course, the need to be safe from COVID-19 is the top priority during the pandemic.

So, even though you undoubtedly miss being behind the wheel, it's best to just stay at home.

Here are suggested activities for car enthusiasts like yourself, so you can stay entertained or occupied during the extended ECQ.

1. Do a virtual test drive.

Subaru has a virtual test drive video that allows you experience their EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. Go and try it yourself.

2. Learn how to sketch a car from scratch.

If you are a car enthusiast and a virtual artist or aspiring to be one, then this is the perfect activity for you. Michael Mauer, Head of Design at Porsche, has a step-by-step guide on how to draw the Porsche 911 from scratch. Go to Porsche's official website and see if you can match this sketch.

3. Design a car.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is inviting kids and teens up to the age of 16 to join the Rolls-Royce Young Designer Competition. They're encouraging the young ones to design their dream Rolls-Royce of the future. Submission of entries will last until May 18, 2020. 4. Race at home.

Factory drivers of Audi's DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) have initiated a virtual race series on the racing simulator Gran Turismo Sport, which is exclusive to PlayStation 4. All virtual races will be done with all the players using the fully electric Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo. Plus, average players and GT Sport fans can race with them as well.
