The enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) has awakened most people's inner farmer in them.

Some are growing their own edible garden in order to ensure food security, while others have simply made farming a new hobby during the ECQ.

Either way, farming has proven to be a very useful skill during the time of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

Several celebrities have flexed their farming or gardening skills on social media, encouraging their followers to grow their own garden as well.

Among these celebrities are Mylene Dizon, Gabby Concepcion, Kyline Alcantara, Chesca Kramer-Garcia, Angelina Mead-King, and Neri Naig-Miranda.

But, did you know that you could still grow vegetables even if you don't have seeds? Yes, it's possible! All you need are kitchen scraps.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) had suggested six vegetables that you can regrow from kitchen scraps:

1) Lettuce
2) Spring Onions
3) Kangkong
4) Alugbati
5) Camote Tops
6) Petchay

According to DENR, they have received lots of requests for seeds after they have first posted about container gardening and indoor composting.

So, they shared this list of six vegetables so that people can start their own edible garden at home even without seeds.

Below are instructions from DENR on how to regrow the six suggested vegetables from kitchen scraps. Happy planting! Enjoy!
