'Itaewon Class' actor Ahn Bo Hyun receives Silver Play Button

Itaewon Class actor Ahn Bo Hyun received a Silver Play Button for his YouTube channel BravoHyun.

He shared the good news on his Instagram account with a photo of him showing off the plaque.

A Silver Play Button, officially called the Silver Creator Award, is given to channels which reach 100,000 subscribers.

An Bo Hyun currently has around 230,000 subscribers. He shares videos of himself doing home workouts, travels, and behind-the-scenes footage from dramas he stars in.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you. #bravohyun #boss Thank you Bbosiraegis for the Silver [Play Button] and 100,000 [subscribers]," he wrote as translated by entertainment site Soompi.

"Bbosiraegi" is a nickname he gave to his followers which is based on a childhood nickname that his father gave him. The actor explained that it means "crumbs" which are "small and cute."

An Bo Hyun's popularity surged after he starred in hit series Itaewon Class with Park Seo Joon. He played the role of Jang Geun Won, the heir to the Jangga Group who will make Park Saero Yi (Park Seo Joon)'s life miserable.
