Pentagon releases three UFO videos taken by US Navy pilots
On Monday evening (Tuesday PH time), the Pentagon has released three declassified videos showing US Navy pilots encountering what appears to be an unidentified flying object (UFO).
The released grainy videos were said to depict “unexplained aerial phenomena” with some believing that they show alien UFOs.
In a statement provided by the US Department of Defense, the decision of the Pentagon to release the footage is to “clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real or whether or not there is more to the videos.
“After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorized release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems, and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena.”
Furthermore, the three videos released had been circulating in the public domain for a decade.
The three videos show what pilots saw during their training flights in 2004 and 2015.
One of the videos was first published by The New York Times in 2017 which is seen happening about 100 miles out in the Pacific.
The Navy pilots found an oblong object of about 40 feet long and hovering about 50 feet above the water, and it began a rapid ascent as the pilots approached before quickly flying away.
One of the pilots told The Times, “It accelerated like nothing I've ever seen.”

The other two videos occurred in 2015 which includes footage of objects moving rapidly through the air.
A pilot exclaims on the video, “Dude, this is a f*cking drone, bro.”
While another person says, “There's a whole fleet of them. They're all going against the wind. The wind is 120 knots to the west. Look at that thing, dude!”

In the other 2015 video, an object is shown from above speeding over the ocean prompting the pilot to remark, “What the f*ck is that?”

The release of these videos adds to the legitimacy of the videos and will spur more speculation that humans have interacted with extraterrestrials.
In a separate interview in 2019, US President Donald Trump said he had a brief meeting with the Pentagon who claimed that the videos are real.
So when asked if he believes there are extraterrestrials beyond our knowledge, Trump says, “Not particularly.”
