It has inspired several covers over the years, including that of singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow.

And on October 2019, it became the first '80s video to hit 1 billion views on YouTube.

This year, 'Sweet Child O' Mine' will take on a whole new form: as a children's picture book!

GNR collaborated with bestselling thriller author James Patterson for the Sweet Child O' Mine children's picture book.

It will depict the adventures of two young girls who grew up touring with GNR.

The girls from whom the story was inspired from are reportedly the daughter and niece of GNR longtime manager Fernando Lebeis, namely Maya Rose and Natalia.

The Sweet Child O' Mine book is expected to be released on September 1, 2020.
