Japanese gamer Hamako Mori wins Guinness World Records

Gamer grandma Hamako Mori of Japan clinched the Guinness World Record for being the oldest YouTube video gaming creator at 90 years old.

The incredible milestone was announced on YouTube's Instagram account on Tuesday, May 19.

The post reads: “Congratulations to Hamako Mori aka Gamer Grandma from Japan, who at 90 years old is the oldest video gaming creator on YouTube, according to Guinness World Records.”

Amazed by this astonishing feat, netizens from different parts of the world congratulated Hamako.

Hamako's YouTube channel Gamer Grandma has more than 257,000 subscribers as of this writing.

She first started live streaming in December 2014 and she has played a number of online games including Resident Evil 3, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Dauntless, and Call of Duty.

Her most viewed video was her Dauntless live streaming which garnered more than 3.6 million views. It premiered in February 2020.
