Mikee Quintos ponders what it means to be an 'artist'

Kapuso actress Mikee Quintos says that she wants to exlore the meaning of the word 'artist' in her quest for a more honest and braver self though her vlog.

She shared her thoughts on art and being an artist in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.

"Right now, I wanna get into other artistic stuff.

"Nakita ko 'yung meaning ng word na 'artist.' Hindi ko sinasabing sobrang ganoon ako.

"Ang feeler ko naman sobra pero just the word itself na hindi mo maka-categorize sa isang kind of art lang ang isang artist," she says.

"Kasi, when you're an artist, kahit anong medium, through singing, through dancing, through acting, through painting, through drawing, any kind of way, you're expressing yourself through art," Mikee adds.

She also thinks that passion makes for good art.

"That's what makes it good eh, 'yung 'pag binigay mo 'yung sarili mo doon sa trabaho mo. I guess thats why I love art, whatever kind man 'yan," she adds.

Mikee also shared that she wants to express herself using various means.

"Nabigyan ko na ng oras ang acting all these years in showbiz, also singing.

"I really wanna give more time to singing now and maybe start giving time sa dancing. Drawing, I get to do that in school," she shares.

She also wants to document and share her journey through her vlog.

"Gusto kong i-document 'yung journey ko doon, exploring and realizing stuff. I hope nga people who watch get inspired and get motivated to try it themselves," Mikee says.
