With a new baby, a husband, and a couple of pets inside their home, Kapuso actress Solenn Heussaff is making sure that the air she and her family breathes is fresh and clean.

That's why for her latest blog and vlog entries, Solenn shares a few tips to maintaining a breathable and safe air at home.

According to the actress, achieving clean air is easy as long as you have lots of plants and proper ventilation.

She says, "It is important to have good air quality at home because most of us spend most of our time indoors.

"I would have to say, we spend about 80% of our lives indoors and now it's 99.9% of the time.

"The way we do it is, having good ventilation in your home, using an air purifier, opening your windows once in a while, using natural furniture, and plants!

"This is why I have so many plants at home because one, it looks beautiful. Two, I don't have a garden. And three, it does help with the air and the atmosphere of our house."

In her home, Solenn houses 18 varieties of indoor plants such as a money plant, a snake plant, a philodendron, a fiddle-leaf fig, a spider plant, a jade plant, and so much more.

She says she keeps them alive by keeping them near light sources, trimming and cleaning them, putting them outside once a week, and watering them once a week (depending on the plant).

She adds an extra step by cleaning them once in a while using a natural disinfectant that utilizes only salt and water.

Another way for Solenn to clean the air in her home is through using an air purifier that helps kill bacteria and viruses and removes molds and bad odors.

If you're worried that you don't have a green thumb, Solenn says that the tips she's shared are fool-proof.

She assures, "I don't have a green thumb. I am not a perfect plant person because I do have dead plants.

“So, for those people who do, try to teach people like me who are not into planting but want plants at home."
