The Dull Sword is particularly interesting as it was first screened in 1917, known also as the birth year of domestic animation in Japan.

Films from Italy will be screened on December 5 at 11:00 A.M. Viewers can catch the timely The Silent Killer (2020) and Malombra (1917).

Live music accompaniment will be dropped this year in favor of recorded scores by Filipino musicians to serve as background music to the movies.

A webinar on film archiving will also be held on December 4 at 3:00 P.M. Film archiving experts from Japan, France, Italy, and Germany will share their thoughts and knowledge about the subject. Filmmaker and archivist Clodualdo del Mundo, Jr. will moderate the discussion.
