The virtual tour will be hosted by Robert Kelleman, founder and director of non-profit community organization, Washington DC History and Culture, which is the organizing team behind the event.

“We'll discuss how the museum's paintings and drawings compare and contrast with well-known items at other museums and the context of these works in Vincent's life and legacy,” said on the event's Facebook page.

The educational tour is free and open to all regardless of geographic location and age.

Participants need to register first and will receive a link of the tour via email approximately eight to 24 hours before the event.

The Van Gogh Museum is one of the top attractions in the Netherlands.

A total of 2.3 million people visited the museum in 2017, making it the 23rd most visited art museum in the world.

In an effort to bring Van Gogh's life and works to more people, the museum introduced the Meet Vincet Van Gogh Experience in 2019.

Utilizing modern technology, the “immersive exhibition” saw Van Gogh's works given new life through stunning and vibrant lights, visuals, and colors.

Born on March 30, 1853, Vincent Willem van Gogh was a Dutch post-impressionist painter who became one of the world's most influential artists following his unfortunate death in 1890.
