Kapuso actor Jak Roberto has been foiled once again as his planned prank on girlfriend and fellow Kapuso star Barbie Forteza did not go according to plan.

In a new vlog, Jak planned to fool Barbie into thinking he made outrageous upgrades on his pickup truck.

The truck, which has the same model and color as Jak's vehicle save for a few customized features, was actually lent to him by a friend who owns the automobile shop which he frequents.

Jak's own truck is at the shop for maintenance and has to be kept there for three days.

He visited Barbie's home for lunch before showing her the truck.

While Barbie notices a few differences, she did not seem to suspect that the truck is not Jak's.

Even though she had difficulty getting on and off the vehicle due to the heightened suspension, she seemed pretty chill about the "upgrades" Jak did.

Jak finally admitted to Barbie that the truck he brought wasn't actually his, adding that he was actually surprised at her reaction to the vehicle.

"Akala ko, 'Oh, bakit gumastos ka na naman? 'Di ba nga pandemic?" he says.

Barbie countered that upgrading for a vehicle is practical but called out Jak on some unnecessary purchases which he recently made.

"Hindi sa sasakyan. Dito sa gimbal ako nanggigigil, saka doon sa bagong Yeezy. Alam naman hindi magagamit kasi hindi pa naman (lumalabas). Ay nako. Doon ako talaga (nagagalit), sapatos at saka sa gimbal na ngayon nginig na nginig si kuya kasi ang bigat," she says.

"Doon ako nayamot. 'Yung sasakyan okay lang. Ginagamit naman 'yan araw araw," she adds.

Aside from the scolding, Barbie's positive reaction helped Jak make up his mind about future upgrades his wants for his car.

"Ako kasi talaga mahilig sa bulky na sasakyan. Gusto ko talaga kung puwede, malaki 'yung gulong, mataas 'yung ground clearance noong sasakyan para hindi ako namumuproblema sa mga lubak, baha.

"Speaking of baha, 'di ba may mga dumaan na bagyo nitong mga nakaraan na hindi pa rin ako ganoon ka confident na ilusong 'tong sasakyan. Kasi siyempre sa sobrang OC (obsessive-compulsive) natin ayaw nating magkaroon ng problem 'yung mga sasakyan natin 'di ba? So ayun, inisip kong mabuti kung kailangan ko ba talaga, saka gusto ko ba talaga?

"Ito 'yung napagdesisyunan ko--pataasan pa ng another two inches para mas malakihan 'yung gulong at mas magmukhang aggressive 'yung sasakyan natin," he explains.

Jak also promised to give updates on the upgrades he will make on his vehicle in future video.
