Mikey Bustos receives personalized drawing from 'The Simpsons' creator

Content creator and vlogger Mikey Bustos is thrilled to show off a personalized drawing he received from Matt Groening, the American cartoonist who created The Simpsons, and other comic strips and animates series.

Mikey took his fanboy moment to Instagram, sharing photos of his special gift.

He said, “Pardon me while I fanboy to the highest level "THE" Matt Groening, American cartoonist & creator of @TheSimpsons, just sent me this personalized drawing of Homer covered in fire ants. I'm screaming! For me, the legendary Matt Groening is a modern day Picasso!"

According to Mikey, he got to connect with Matt as the son of the latter is a huge fan of his page dedicated to ant-keeping.

“Last year, the Groenings reached out to me to request a chat with their son about ants as he was an avid fan of our AntsCanada channel. I was completely blown away by their son's ant knowledge, passion for ant keeping, and pet ant colonies housed in our @antscanada ant farms. We now schedule spirited ant chats on Zoom every now and then and it inspires me as a video creator.

He also revealed why meeting the Groenings holds a special place in his heart.

“I literally grew up watching The Simpsons, so meeting the Groenings via Matt's son watching @antscanada is a full circle moment for me! I will treasure this artwork forever! PS - Matt Groening's handwriting (3rd photo) is the actual font for the show! So cool right?!”
