Carla Abellana shows support for animal shelter taking care of aspins

She might be busy preparing for her wedding and the upcoming lock-in taping of her primetime series To Have And To Hold, but Carla Abellana has the time to promote her advocacies too, especially when it comes to animal rights protection.

Carla, a dog owner, used her social media influence to call for support to an animal shelter taking care of aspins or askals.

The Kapuso primetime actress posted, “Hello, everyone! Wouldn't it be nice if we could all come together to help more and more aspins in need of rescuing, food and shelter?

“I found out about @aspinacademy and the fact that they have been forced to leave and relocate at least twice already. They are now currently in Quezon, hoping to finally be able to build a more stable and secure shelter. Hopefully this time, locals will no longer throw their belongings and shoo them away.”

Aside from Carla, other Kapuso who are advocates for animal welfare includes Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista and her fellow To Have And To Hold co-star Luis Hontiveros.

In fact, Luis is related to the late Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) founder Maria Teresita Nita “Tata” Hontiveros-Lichauco.
