Get to know more about Denise Barbacena in new beauty vlog
Kapuso actress Denise Barbacena had a mini Q&A session in a recent “Get Ready With Me” vlog on her YouTube channel yesterday, July 21.
The 26-year-old actress-singer did a simple yet beautiful makeup look that she creates for zoom meetings or work.
One fan asked Denise about her favorite member of the Korean girl group BLACKPINK.
“I love all the girls. I love all of them, grabe. Super lovable lang talaga nila pero I love Jennie and Lisa a little bit more. Pero I love all of them, I swear,” answered Denise.
The Bubble Gang star also mentioned that each member of the K-pop group has their own appeal and charisma.
Denise also revealed that used to have a lot of Hello Kitty collection, which was her favorite cartoon character.
Another fan asked the Kapuso actress how she was able to balance school and showbiz.
“A lot of prayers and a lot of help from so many people, both from school and from work,” shared Denise.
She added, “Pero syempre, kabuuan din non is sa sarili mo. Hindi siya madali. Time management.. mag-set ka ng mga tasks mo.”
The Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kwento actress also recalled her past experience at the time.
“Madalas pa nga noon, as in wala talaga akong vacant day to study. Dinadala ko yung reviewers ko sa set [at] doon ako nagbabasa,” said Denise.
“May mga pagkakataon na hindi maiiwasan na meron kang il-let go.
"Mamimili ka talaga, you really have to set your priorities for the day kung ano ba talaga yung bibigyan mo ng oras at ng energy.
“Mahirap siya pero hindi siya imposible.”
Earlier this year, Denise earned her bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science from Our Lady of Fatima University after ten long years.
She also experienced being bullied at school and work, and gave some pieces of advice to people who are going through the same.
“Know yourself kasi, if you know yourself, you'll have this control over your reactions and your emotions,” she shared.
Another piece of advice from Denise is to communicate your boundaries with other people to let them know whether their remarks come off as disrespectful or rude.
“One more thing is to reach out to people lalo na kapag it really gets abusive na nagiging physical na, you reach out for help from other people.”
When asked if she's going to take the board exams, Denise said that it's on her list of goals and plans.
“Gusto ko paghahandaan ko siya. Sa ngayon, thank God, fortunately, may mga work tayo na pumapasok from GMA,” shared Denise.
“So, if I am to take the board exam, gusto ko makapag-aral ako, mapaghandaan ko siya.”
