Kapuso actress-host and Miss World Philippines 2019 titleholder Michelle Dee has a new pastime: golf.

According to the beauty queen, she has always been interested in golf and revealed that her interest in the sport peaked during the pandemic.

“I used to play a lot of contact sports pre-covid but since my health is my top priority now I had to look elsewhere to get my fix of doing something challenging,” Michelle said.

She added, “My friend Marco was the one who finally convinced me to try it out! Thanks to his coach I had a really good start!”

In one of her Instagram posts, the I Left My Heart in Sorsogon actress shared a video, where she perfectly hit the golf ball and earned thousands of views on the photo-sharing platform.

She wrote, “Day 1: Still getting the hang of my grip but so far so good. Who here plays?”

The 26-year-old actress and model also shared that she loves playing golf now as it's a great social sport that challenges her mind and body.

“It's a lot harder than it looks and the feeling of hitting the ball perfectly gives me such a fulfilling experience,” the beauty queen said.

Michelle also considers taking up golf as a regular pastime.

“Definitely! I never would've guessed that golf was such a physical sport and that just says a lot about how much I don't know about the game yet.

“So I'll keep playing for as long as I keep finding reasons to love it but if there's one thing I really love though, it's that you can actually workout with friends without having to catch my breath.”

One fact about the Kapuso star is that she's also an adrenaline junkie and owns a Ducati, which she calls #ducadee on her Instagram account.

“Riding my motorcycle gives me such a different feeling of freedom and adrenaline, but whenever I ride I think being calm and composed is something that's involved too.

“You have to be one with yourself and one with your bike to execute everything accordingly.”

The Agimat ng Agila star also shared her perspective about golf and said, “Golf takes that to another level too because you're only really in competition with yourself--at least for me”

When asked if she considers herself as a natural in the said sport, she said, “Do I think I'm a natural at golf? Probably not.

“But I am a very self-aware person and I constantly try to improve on myself regularly, which are two very important things that a person needs to excel in golf.”

Michelle Marquez Dee is the daughter of Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez and businessman Derek Dee.
