Tuesday Vargas shares challenges the events industry is facing during the pandemic

Tuesday Vargas, who was previously part of All-Out Sundays segments Eternal Flame and Love Doctors, recently took to Instagram to talk about the challenges faced by the events industry as the COVID-19 pandemic continues in the country.

In the caption of a photo showing her standing by a balcony overlooking the Taal Volcano, Tuesday shared that she was in Tagaytay to organize a wedding that had been “postponed 3 times, 3 years in the making and has transferred to almost 3 venues.”

The frequent postponements and transfers, according to Tuesday, is now the new normal for the events industry, which she says has “suffered greatly” under the pandemic. According to her, most companies are now just finishing old contracts and getting by with little to no new projects coming in.

This is a far cry from pre-pandemic times, where the -ber months mean back to back schedules that kept people in the events industry too busy to even meet their families.

“But the money was good, so no complaints- grind grind grind till we cant tke (sic) it no more,” she recalled.

Rather than “sulk in a corner,” Tuesday says she used her savings to discover other opportunities that she “was brave enough to try and strong enough to see through.”

Tuesday ended her caption on an encouraging note, telling her followers to “keep the spark.”

“I want you to know that I feel you and that you are not alone. If I can do it, you can too,” she wrote.

Other celebrities have also had to rearrange their lives because of the pandemic. Carla Abellana, who is set to star in the new GMA Telebabad series To Have And To Hold, recently shared the struggles of planning a wedding during the pandemic.

“Mas mahirap gawin, kasi pandemic po ngayon. Most especially because we don't have full control of what's happening around us pati 'yung mga protocols, decision ng government. It affects everything, pero kahit papaano naitatawid naman po so far,” she shared.
