Ariel Rivera and Gelli de Belen's sons' biko business is a hit in Canada
While Ariel Rivera and Gelli de Belen are busy with their acting careers here in the Philippines, their sons, Joaquin and Julio, are also busy with their thriving biko business in Canada.
Called Lolo Ben's Biko, the biko business of Joaquin and Julio Rivera was inspired by the original recipe of Ariel's father.
In a previous vlog, Gelli featured her sons' business, explaining why they started it and showing how they prepare the biko.
Joaquin told her mom that his younger was thinking of a source of extra income, "We got the recipe from our Lolo Ben. This is his recipe that we've been using to sell our biko. Julio originally learned it a few years ago while Lolo was around, and he's been doing it ever since. Recently, he's been wanting to find a side hustle to get some money."
Julio said managing their small business is fun, "I enjoy it. Parang it makes me feel proud that people like this 'cause this is lolo's recipe."
His kuya agreed, "We have more pride because it's lolo's [recipe]."
Aside from earning extra money, the youngest son of Ariel and Gelli said the business gives him a sense of fulfillment.
"Actually, to be able to give a part of us, our family, to other people for them to enjoy. I love to hear feedback from people, I love to hear if they really like our biko because it's almost like an extension of lolo's legacy, that's really fulfilling," said Julio.

The celebrity couple actively promotes their sons' business on their respective Instagram account.
On the same vlog, Gelli said about Lolo Ben's Biko, "Maraming nakakaing biko dito sa Canada. But I guess, the Filipinos miss eating biko na nasa banana leaves... It's like a taste of home. It reminds everybody of home. Parang food for your soul, kumbaga. It's a taste of home.If you, guys, want a taste of the Philippines, biko may represent it for you.
