This is just one of the many ventures that Alden Richards has involved himself with recently.
Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards reveals yet another facet of himself as he announces the launch of an esports competition.
In a post on his Instagram account, Alden posted a short clip announcing the upcoming launch of the Myriad Esports Cup. The clip says the competition will start on January 28, 2023 and will be open to amateur league teams. More importantly, a PhP250,000 total prize pool is waiting for those who succeed in the league.
The post also included a link to a Google document for those who want to register for the competition. Team members need to be aged 18 to 25 and be composed of six members - five people who will play and another slot for either a coach or a substitute player.
That Alden is launching this venture comes as no surprise to his fans, as they know he is also the founder of Myriad Esports, a gaming video creator company that livestreams Mobile Legends games. Its inaugural stream back in August currently has more than 29,000 views.
In the comments to the post, Alden's Instagram followers congratulated him on the upcoming tournament, with his former Tween Hearts co-star Bea Binene being one of the well-wishers.
This isn't the only project that Alden is involved in outside of his job in showbusiness, which include the lead role in the GMA Telebabad series Start-Up PH.
In September, Alden announced on his Instagram account that his company Myriad Corporation will be part of the Eraserheads reunion concert. In the post, Alden said that Myriad Corporation is his “newest business venture.”
As of now, Alden has not yet elaborated on what role Myriad Corporation will be playing in the concert.
Just as with the esports tournament, Alden's fans and followers happily wished Alden luck on his new venture.
