To de-stress, Rocco Nacino goes places

Rocco Nacino was probably one of the busiest actors of 2013. He appeared in projects like Unforgettable and Titser, while he headlined Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas and hosted Out of Control. He also starred in a number of movies including My Lady Boss and Pedro Calungsod: Ang Batang Martir.

This year, Rocco looks forward to unwinding before going back to work again. One of his agendas is to visit Europe with a special friend.

“Supposed to be a month [iyong vacation]. Naging two and a half weeks. April 5 ‘yung alis ko, so excited na kami. Adventure ‘yan. First time kong pupunta sa Europe,” shared Rocco.

Traveling has always been Rocco’s outlet for self-discovery. He mentioned that his most memorable trip was his vacation in Cambodia last year because it was his first time to travel alone.

“Nag-enjoy naman ako. Marami akong natutunan. At that time, I was doing Yesterday’s Bride, My Lady Boss and Party Pilipinas. I just had to get away, so I went there for five days,” said Rocco.

He shared, “I just stayed in a small hotel. Hindi ako maarte sa ganyan, kasi when you’re there, you spend the day sight-seeing. Nakakatuwa kasi may mga Filipinos doon sa hotel. Okay naman. Happy ako. I brought a book with me. I enjoy the simple things in life.”

Rocco’s Cambodia escapade was both a relaxing and learning experience. He said, “It’s fun to learn about a different culture and meet new people. Doon sa mga na-meet ko, ipinagmalaki ko ‘yung mga magagandang beaches natin sa Philippines. Tuwang-tuwa naman sila. After that trip, I learned to keep a positive mind.”

Rocco revealed that he has an upcoming TV project this May or June and is set to star in an independent film. He is also excited to work alongside Superstar, Nora Aunor in a film project.

He gushed, “Itong project with Nora Aunor, excited ako kasi it’s dark and very interesting ‘yung character. I’ve always wanted to do dark characters na very out-of-the-box.”
