Aljur Abrenica holds advanced birthday celebration with kids from World Vision

Kambal Sirena leading man, Aljur Abrenica’s advanced birthday celebration was filled with smiles and good vibes as he spent an afternoon with children from World Vision Philippines.

World Vision is a foundation that focuses on providing and assisting the needs, rights and responsibilities of children through development and education.

The event was held in the foundation’s premises in Quezon City. The program was hosted by talented comedian, Betong Sumaya and GMA Artist Center talent, Arianne Bautista.

Aljur was welcomed with applause and hugs from the adorable kids. Then, a representative from World Vision gave opening remarks and thanked Aljur for sponsoring two children from the foundation.

This was followed by a “Bring me” game, which Aljur gamely played with the hosts and kids. GMA Artist Center executives, Simoun Ferrer and Tracy Garcia also graced the stage to give their birthday messages to Aljur.

The games continued, and Aljur asked for volunteers to greet him “Happy Birthday”. The one who was able to hold his breath for the longest time got a prize, while all those who joined received consolation prizes.

After the games, it was Aljur’s turn to entertain the kids. He performed the song, Sa Isang Sulyap Mo for them. Then, a surprise AVP that featured World Vision children from Palawan was shown. Aljur was touched by their effort to extend their greetings and well wishes to him.

Another moving scene in the celebration was when two kids read their birthday letter for Aljur. The Kapuso actor appreciated the kind gesture and thanked the kids.

The kids went on to sing “Happy Birthday” for Aljur. Another representative from World Vision gave the closing remarks.

After the program, Aljur distributed gifts for the children of World Vision. In turn, the kids surprised Aljur with another performance. They sang Yesterday’s Dream, complete with choreography.

Aljur also gave a message to all the children who joined him in his special day. He said, “Lahat po ng nakikita niyo ngayon ay inaalay ko sa Panginoon. Siya po talaga ‘yung dahilan kung bakit nandito ako ngayon. Wala akong wish ngayon kundi pagpapasalamat lang.”

He also said that the best gift he could give and receive is prayer. Aljur prayed for the kids and gave thanks for the memorable celebration he had with them.
