'Sa career, ayoko ng maintain. Gusto ko, mas mataas.' – Sef Cadayona

StarStruck alumnus, commercial model and skilled dancer Sef Cadayona turned twenty-five earlier this month, and his happiness couldn’t be denied. He attributes this joy to the appreciation he has for little things, which in turn, help him reach greater heights.

He shared that he spent his birthday with his family, as he does annually. “Ako, 'yung ugali ko ‘pag birthday, since we’re just three in the family and I have no brothers and sisters, [is to spend it through a] family dinner. Pinaka-importante sa amin is mag-simba. Ang sarap ng feeling na you celebrated your birthday na nakakapag-simba ka. Ngayon, 'yung blessings, sobra-sobra,” he gleefully said.

Asked about what his birthday wish was, he joked, “My birthday wish is for me to grow taller.”

“But seriously, my wish is to maintain what I have with my family right now because they’ve been a blessing to me. They help me achieve what I want to do in work... Thank you for teaching me how to be a good person, mom and dad,” the actor said.

Career-wise, he noted that he doesn’t want to ‘maintain’ his standing because that would mean stagnancy. “Sa career, ayoko ng maintain. Gusto ko, mas mataas. Wish ko is to keep on making good career choices, kasi, to be able to do what you want to do, you need to have a goal,” Sef declared.

The opportunities that have been given to him and that are continuously coming his way are beyond what he ever expected. For that, he is most grateful and is even more challenged to hone his craft.

“Talagang pupursigihin ko pa ng matindi 'yung trabaho ko para ma-achieve po natin 'yung gusto natin sa karera,” he asserted.
