What is Mikael Daez's fitness secret?

One look at Mikael Daez and you would think that he is very conscious of his body. But the Kapuso actor is a self-confessed foodie, a trait that led him to host Midnight Express of the late night news program Saksi. The five-minute segment shows Mikael trying out different kinds of food and telling the story behind each of his gastronomical discoveries.

Mikael gave us a quick rundown of the dishes that have become his favorites since his show started airing.

"From the first half of our show last year, ang nag-stand out would have to be Dong Bei dumplings in Binondo, tapos ang A&M's Bulalo, the best bulalo I have ever tried. Recently, pumunta kami kay Chef Claude Tayag, at nagluto siya para sa akin ng Adobong Pugo at Seafood Kare-kare. 'Yung Ostrich Salpicao sa Mesa, masarap din."

Sa dami ng pagkaing natitikman niya, bakit kaya hindi siya tumataba?

"Youth!" was his immediate answer.

He then elaborates. "Sinusuwerte pa ako, but I know that as I get older, baka next year or later this year, medyo humina na ang metabolism ko sa dami ng kinakain ko."

Wala daw siyang strict diet na sinusunod, so he tries to work out when he can. "Favorite sport ko would have to be basketball. First love ko 'yan. Nami-miss ko na, ang tagal ko nang hindi nakakalaro."
