Lovely Rivero to fur baby Darla: 'Thank you for showing us, humans, what true love is all about'

By Aedrianne Acar

Versatile actress Lovely Rivero was pretty emotional as she shared with her followers on Instagram that her pet dog Darla passed away last May 24.

The Start-Up PH star uploaded some throwback photos with her adorable Chihuahua.

She wrote in the captions, “Dearest Darla,

“THANK YOU FOR THE 14 (ALMOST) YEARS OF PURE, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE & HAPPINESS THAT YOU GAVE US, YOUR HUMANS.”

“They say we should already be thankful because 14 (almost) years is already a long time but even a hundred or more years of being with you will never be enough because we just love you sooooooo much.”

Lovely also described Darla as an “easy dog” that never burdened her family in any way. The soap opera artist noted, “From the start till the end of your life, you've always been an easy dog- you've never burdened us. You knew we will be forever traumatized & even more heartbroken (if that's even possible) if we saw you get really old & sick or if we actually saw you cross over so you did it on your own in the least painful way for us. Such a selfless, loving, beautiful furbaby- just perfect!

“We will never know what went wrong, what happened, or even how it actually happened (maybe your heart was too small for all the love it had inside that it just stopped?)…

“Thus, we just want to honor you and thank you for all the love & joy you gave us. Thank you for being our source of love, strength & happiness. Thank you for showing us, humans, what true love is all about. We hope that you also felt how truly loved & special you are.

“You did very well, Darla Dollie Dahling. Bravo!!! Take a Bow!

“Enjoy Doggie Paradise & give God your signature non-stop furkisses (licks).”

The actress portrayed the role of Dang Navarro in Start-Up PH, the mother of Dave (Davidson), who was played by Sparkle hunk Jeric Gonzales.
