What makes Kuya Germs rich?

Iconic talent manager Kuya Germs said that in his long stay in the showbiz industry, what truly makes him rich are the friendships that he has formed as well as the gratitude he has received from his children in show business.

He shared this during the Golden Screen Awards for TV last March 21 where he was given the Gawad Dolphy Lifetime Achievement Award: Ulirang Alagad ng Sining.

The Master Showman thanked the award-giving body Entertainment Press Society and the family of the late Comedy King, from whose name and honor the award was attributed to.

Kuya Germs noted how overwhelmed he was with the gratitude and indebtedness that his children in show business express. He also took the opportunity to thank Kapuso stars Glydel Mercado and Ruru Madrid who earlier went onstage to receive their respective awards and who partly dedicated their accolades to Kuya Germs’ mentorship.

“I’m so proud dun sa mga bata na naging bahagi ng aking (buhay at career)… Shine-share ko ito sa mga bata ng henerasyon na ito,” he said.

Truly, he is made rich by the experiences which have also brought him to the wonderful people in his life now.

“Kapag marami kang kaibigan, maraming nagmamahal sa’yo, ‘yan ang kayamanan mo at hindi ang halaga ng salapi,” he added.

His secret for his longevity? Passion for his craft and surrounding himself with good people. “Mahalin natin [ang trabaho at ang mga taong nakapaligid sa atin] at tayo’y rerespetuhin,” he disclosed.
