Sef Cadayona: A year older, an award richer

The first quarter of the year has proven to be a blast for comedian Sef Cadayona as he took a relaxing holiday in Singapore, celebrated his birthday by giving back (read full story here), and brought home his second Golden Screen Award.

The actor bagged the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Gag or Comedy Show for Bubble Gang during the 11th Golden Screen Awards for TV. This is his second from the award-giving body Entertainment Press Society (Enpress), as he won the Breakthrough Performance by an Actor in the 2012 Golden Screen Awards for Movies.

In his acceptance speech, Sef displayed much faithfulness as he opened with an expression of his thanksgiving.

True to his comedic nature, he continued with a joke.

Sef was the youngest among the nominees in his category, as he was put alongside John Feir, Al Tantay and his friend and Bubble Gang co-star Albert “Betong” Sumaya, Jr.

In an interview with GMANetwork.com, the StarStruck alumnus disclosed how blessed he feels to vie for the award against comedy veterans.

On a more serious note, he shared how he is ever more determined to reach greater heights in his career (read full story here).

“Isang malaking pasasalamat na kahit nagsisimula pa lang ako, may nomination na…I must be doing something right. ‘Di ko man alam kung ano 'yun, pero push lang ako ng push sa trabaho,” he declared.

He affirmed this in how he closed his acceptance speech during the awards night.
