Former Miss Universe Catriona Gray continues to wield her influence for the greater good as she takes part in an international seminar tackling the stigma that comes with testing positive for HIV (human immunodeficiency virus).
A post on the LoveYourself Instagram account announced that Catriona, in her role as LoveYourself ambassador, will be taking part in the Asian Stigma & Discrimination Forum 2023, to be held in Singapore this June 8. She will be presenting the group's “initiatives and collaboration to empower the HIV community” as part of the panelists of the session “Exploring Opportunities in Reducing Stigma & Discrimination.”
This is hardly the first time that Catriona has gone all out for the causes that she believes in. Back in February, Catriona was once again named an ambassador for the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
Catriona posted several photos on her Instagram account of her wearing custom Filipiniana at the event where her role as ambassador was renewed. Catriona shared that she was “thrilled” to enter her fourth year as ambassador for the NCCA.
As NCCA ambassador, Catriona has drawn attention to the Metropolitan Theater by posting the nine-minute video “THE GRAND REVEAL at the Philippine Metropolitan Theater” on her YouTube channel. The video highlights the different art forms that have been housed at the Met, such as opera, film, ballet, vaudeville, and the zarzuela.
Catriona has also called on her fans and followers to help Young Focus PH build a center for its beneficiaries in Cavite. She also made sure that 1,000 families received a food package from Young Focus PH during the holiday season last year.
Catriona also recently took a trip to Ilocos Norte as part of her #RaiseYourFlag advocacy. #RaiseYourFlag aims to highlight the different regions of the country to her more than 13 million local and international Instagram followers.
