Sophia Senoron has one condition before she joins pageants again

Miss Multinational 2017 and Voltes V: Legacy actress Sophia Senoron said that she already reached her “quota” after winning two pageants in 2017. But, if she's given a chance to join again, she has one condition: to grow four more inches.

In her interview on the Updated with Nelson Canlas podcast, Sophia revealed that she would love to compete in a pageant again. However, she also said that she would only do so if God gives her four more inches in height.

“'Yan lang 'yung requisite ko. If God chooses me to give me four more inches, go, I will. 'Yung next na mismong pageant, kahit ano man 'yan, sign me up. But unless God doesn't give me four more inches, I'm not gonna join,” she said in her interview.

When asked if being confident wasn't enough for her to rejoin pageantry, she answered, “I think it's enough for other people but for me, I think that I did my part in you know, representing short people, representing young people.”

She mentioned how she would receive messages from people who are young or who are as short as her. These people said that they were inspired to see her get accepted in a pageant and win despite her height and age.

“I think after my year in Miss World Philippines, I did my role, I did my best in creating a safer space for women like me. And because of that, I have no aspiration pa na sumali again. I feel like nagawa ko 'yung gusto kong gawin,” she said.

Sophia was 17 years old when she joined Miss World Philippines in 2017 and was one of the youngest candidates in the competition. She was also one of the shortest, standing 5 feet 4 inches tall. She admitted that one of her insecurities when she first joined Miss World Philippines was her height.

“Because when I would see the photos, mukha talaga akong naliligaw na bata. Like sobrang laki ng height differen[ce] and everything. I think my insecurity stemmed from me looking at other people who don't look like me. Na parang iba 'yung beauty nila, iba rin 'yung beauty ko,” she said.

Dagdag pa ng beauty queen-turned-actress, “I look Asian, I'm an oriental beauty and people you know, mestizo, mestiza, iba 'yung itsura nila. It's pointless to compare myself to them.”
