Pauline Amelinckx

The eye-catching blue outfit is just one of the ways Pauline Amelinckx has been drawing attention at the Miss Supranational pageant.

The country's Miss Supranational representative, Pauline Amelinckx, is once again the center of attention as she attends the Miss Supranational talent night in a blue gown.

In one of the more recent posts on her Instagram account, Pauline posted multiple photos of her wearing the Mikee Andrei creation. In the caption to the post, Pauline described the night as a “SUPRA Night filled with glitz, glamour and lotsa talent!!!” and shared that she was in awe of the skills, talents, and beauty of the pageant competitors.

It's not the first time that Pauline has worn an eye-catching outfit during one of the pageant's many events. Four days ago, she had on a sparkling blue dress when she attended the Mister Supranational pageant opening ceremony to support the country's representative, Johannes Rissler.

Last month, Pauline was pretty in pink during the Miss Supranational opening ceremony, with the Miss Philippines official Instagram account saying that the outfit channeled Pauline's charm and individuality.

It isn't just through her outfits that Pauline has been catching the attention of people at the Miss Supranational pageant. Just one day ago, Pauline made it to the final of the Supra Chat challenge, alongside fellow candidates from Canada, India, Peru, and South Africa.

Pauline responded to three questions: “Knowing that a beauty queen is often the subject of harsh criticism and severe bullying, why have you decided to join the Miss Supranational experience?” “What is the important method of communication between people besides language and how do you use it in your life?” and “Which of these gave you a life-changing lesson in life and why? Is it love, time, or death?”

With regards to the first question, Pauline drew on her own experience of being the target of bullying.

“I am someone who has personal experience with being body-shamed, so I know what it feels like to be bullied. But I also know that with the help of so many different people around me and with their love and support, I was able to overcome those hardships and those challenges and I am a better person for it now,” she shared. “The reason why I'm here is because I know that I have the strength in me to be able to overcome those different challenges like being body-shamed, for example. I know that my story is the story of many more women and I hope that us standing on stage here will give them strength to find the best in themselves.”

Meanwhile, Pauline called on people to “look beyond the language” in response to the second question.

“I agree that sometimes language can be a barrier between people, especially in a beauty contest setting. We have to be able to look beyond the language and we have to look at the intentions that we have at heart and the message that lies beyond that language,” she said. “As long as we're able to bring in people for a meaningful cause, then the language that we speak doesn't actually make a difference because everyone will be able to feel the good intentions and the good faith that we have and together we can make meaningful things out off that.”

Finally, Pauline explained that it was the love of others that gave her the biggest lesson in life in response to the third question.

“It would definitely be love. I've had so many different struggles in life, I'm sure many of us have in terms of being body-shamed, of being bullied, and somehow losing our sense of self-worth and purpose in this world,” she shared. “It was the love of other people that helped me create so much self-love for myself, to be able to conquer all those challenges as long as that voice in our head is the kindest and the most understanding and to allow that to transform us into someone who's capable of overcoming all those challenges and bringing and lifting others up on that journey as well.”

Pauline's journey to the Supra Chat final round started back in June, when her responses and votes from Filipino pageant fans made her the winner of Group 10.

Pauline then went on to the Supra Chat semifinal round alongside candidates from the United Kingdom, Brazil, South Africa, Canda, Haiti, Romania, India, Peru, and Nicaragua.
