Michelle Dee visits beneficiaries of Smile Train Philippines

Michelle Dee, the current reigning Miss Universe Philippines, continues to be a representative for causes close to her and the organization's heart as she visits the beneficiaries of Smile Train Philippines.

The official Miss Universe Philippines Instagram account posted multiple photos of Michelle along with doctors and representatives of Smile Train Philippines, which is part of a larger organization that supports “safe, high-quality, and free cleft care” for children all over the world.

In the caption to the post, the Miss Universe Philippines organization wrote that Michelle's “radiant heart is all about spreading hope, kindness, and joy.”

This is just the latest cause that Michelle has shown support for. The past month saw Michelle attend multiple Pride Month events as a newly-out bisexual woman.

Michelle, along with Miss Universe Bhutan 2022 Tashi Choden, called on people to “act in kindness” during the Miss Universe organization's Pride Month special on its #UniverseUnited YouTube show.

Michelle also spoke on the importance of Pride Month, calling it an opportunity to “show our uniqueness individually, but also as a community as a whole.”

“I love that the world gives us a chance to do that - to really speak our minds and be loud and proud about who we are,” she said.

Late into Pride Month, Michelle and best friend Rhian Ramos performed at a Pride event organized by LoveYourself PH. Michelle and Rhian serenaded the crowd, and on its Instagram post the Miss Universe Philippines organization said it was to show Michelle's “support and appreciation to all the members of the LGBTQIA+ community.”

Earlier in June, Michelle also joined Drag Race Philippines cast members Precious Paula Nicole, Viñas Deluxe, Brigiding, Lady Morgana, and Kaladkaren at the Pride Month celebration held at the residence of the United States ambassador.
