The passion that Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol for her education advocacy remains unflagging as she recently revealed that a memorandum of agreement has already been signed for the learning hub she is helping to build.
In one of the more recent posts on her Instagram account, Gwendolyne shared photos of her at a “simple but meaningful” memorandum of agreement signing ceremony for the BASECO Learning Hub that is being built for the ERDA Foundation that she supports. The ERDA Foundation is a non-government organization that was founded in 1974 and “envisions a nation where all children and youth have access to quality education and holistic development in a supportive environment for them to have a better life.”
In the caption to the post, Gwendolyne shared how inspired she was by the story of ERDA Foundation's Father Pierre Tritz, who established a school for underprivileged children that unfortunately had to close down during the COVID-19 pandemic. She said that his story pushed her to dream big for her countrymen just like he did.
Back in January, Gwendolyne visited the site of ERDA Foudnation's future Learning Hub in Baseco, Tondo to conduct an ocular inspection of the 25 square meter lot that will be the location of the two-story building. She shared her resolve to help build the Learning Hub on her Instagram account, writing that she would help raise funds and gather resources from different stakeholders.

Gwendolyne has also the volunteers to a makeover day during Mother's Day. She shared that her work with ERDA Foundation has made her appreciate mothers in a different light, since the ERDA Foundation mothers do not just volunteer for the organization but are also “assiduous role models for their children and the youth of ERDA.”
