Miss World Philippines 2022 Gwendolyne Fourniol continues to advocate for her chosen cause as she gives the volunteers of a non-government organization a Mother's Day treat.
In a couple of posts on her Instagram account, Gwendolyne shared photos and a video of her treating the mothers who volunteer at the ERDA Foundation a day at the salon. The ERDA Foundation is a non-government organization that was founded in 1974 and “envisions a nation where all children and youth have access to quality education and holistic development in a supportive environment for them to have a better life.”
In the caption to one of the posts, she said that her work with ERDA Foundation has made her appreciate mothers in a different light since the ERDA Foundation mothers do not just volunteer for the organization but are also “assiduous role models for their children and the youth of ERDA.” Because of this, she thought of giving them a day off for a makeover.
This is just the latest initiative that Gwendolyne has undertaken for the ERDA Foundation. Over the past few months, Gwendolyne has been consistent in working with the foundation to help in any way that she can.
Back in February, Gwendolyne started a donation drive to benefit the foundation, accepting monetary donations through GCash and Paypal, as well as in-kind donations of school supplies, books, and toys.
Gwendolyne also made a similar call for donations of school supplies, books, educational resources, or clothes last year, with the school supplies distributed to the foundation's beneficiaries back in September.
Gwendolyne has also visited the site of ERDA Foudnation's future Learning Hub in Baseco, Tondo to conduct an ocular inspection of the 25 square meter lot that will be the location of the two-story building.
