Kim Chiu shows Tagaytay rest house to her 3M subscribers

By Kristian Eric Javier

Actress Kim Chiu celebrated her newest YouTube milestone, reaching three million subscribers, by showing the exterior of her rest house in Tagaytay.

On her 18-minute vlog, Kim gave a house tour where she took her viewers around the exterior of the house. The It's Showtime host also shared the backstory of acquiring her rest house, as well as some wisdom about achieving your dreams.

At the start of the video, Kim showed the look of the house when she acquired it in 2021, revealing that she always dreamed of having a rest house.

“With a little bit of hard work and patience, and a little bit of dream, let me share to you mga konting pasilip sa aking bagong blessing this 2021,” she said.

Then, she showed off her newly renovated rest house. The actress first went to the pool near the entrance of the house which, according to her, is also heated, perfect for the cold Tagaytay weather.

She also showed two entrances to her house--one is upstairs from the side of the house, the other is just by the pool. According to Kim, they usually use the space between the pool and the entrance to hang out and eat whenever they go for a swim.

Near the entrance by the pool, the actress showed off her Chinese heritage by placing Fu dogs, guardian dog statues to ward off negative energies.

According to Kim, “Sila 'yung parang pampataboy ng mga masasamang elemento bago pumasok sa loob ng bahay. Mayroong pang bahay na fu dog at meron ding pang negosyo na fu dog so parang kailangan talaga ng ganun tapos iinsensohan siya every now and then.”

Kim also showed off their dirty kitchen and the outdoor living area, a place which, according to her, is the favorite part of the house of her father.

“Itong talagang outdoor living area, gusto ko talaga ng ganito kasi maganda 'yung lugar e. Maganda talaga 'yung space, maganda 'yung scenery, and maganda talaga 'yung hangin ang 'yung energy,” she said.

She added that it's the best place for her to recharge and re-energize while resting.

Kim shared that they specifically used outdoor furniture, so that they wouldn't deteriorate over time. Her Tagaytay rest house also has a fire pit which, according to her, already came with the house when she bought it and was one of the things that she didn't change.

Kim got the house when the pandemic started after she realized how short life is.

“Parang nung nagkaroon ng covid, parang ang dami kong naiisip para sa sarili ko, para sa pamilya ko and para sa future ko kung ano man ang mangyayari sa'kin,” she said.

She added, “Naisip ko na para saan pa na nagtatrabaho ako kung hindi ko naman kukunin 'yung pangarap ko?”

Her realization was triggered by her friend who told her to never underestimate the power of your dreams, and one of hers was owning rest house. Kim manifested it to happen until it finally did. She then expressed how happy she is that she's finally able to grasp in her hands one of her dreams, and imparted some words of wisdom.

“One by one, hindi naman imposible kapag nangarap ang isang tao basta trabahuhin mo din. Parang work hard, play hard,” she said.

She added that it's important to dream big and dream hard and not limit your dreams.

“'Di naman instant 'yung pangarap, e, it takes years. Years of hard work, years of mga failures, so parang achievement na rin 'yung kapag na-abot mo 'yung isa sa mga pangarap mo,” she said.
