Lauren Young: Eyeing the Miss World 2014 crown?

Kapuso actress Lauren Young is very proud when her older sister, Megan Young, bagged the Miss World title for the country last year. Now that Megan's reign is about to end, people are asking Lauren if she wants to follow her sister's footsteps.
Does she want to be a beauty queen like her Ate? It's a big no for Lauren. She explains, “Now, I don't think so. I really want to prove something with my line of work right now and my career before I venture out to something new. I have a long way to go [compared] with Ate.”
Lauren adds that she and Megan are different people who have different interests. “She [Megan] has whatever's going on for her, that's her thing. And then I also have my own thing. I'm more complex as a person. Megan is very simple, she's very kindhearted. I'm me in my own way,” says Lauren.
Does she mind being compared to Megan? Lauren says, “With the whole comparison thing, I don't really mind. I don't really care 'cause I know who I am. My sister knows who she is. We both know and respect each other. We love each other, and we don't let whatever other people say get in the way of our relationship.”
As much as she loves being called "Megan's little sister", Lauren says she wants to make a name for herself in the entertainment business. “As an actress, I don't want to be Megan's little sister. Personally okay lang na ako 'yung batang kapatid ni Megan. Pero pagdating na sa career, I also want to make a name for myself,” she stated.
“If hers [Megan] is being Miss World, I want to be known as an actress. So I'm working very hard on that,” says Lauren.
