Catriona Gray

Just like last year, Catriona Gray is working to bring a happy Christmas to disadvantaged kids and families.

As Christmas inches closer and closer, former Miss Universe Catriona Gray is calling on her fans and followers to help make the holiday season happy for disadvantaged children as well.

In one of her more recent posts on Instagram, Catriona posted a photo of herself with staff of Young Focus PH, a non-government organization that seeks to improve the “mental, physical and social well-being of young people in poor communities by means of education, health care and personal support.” In the caption to the post, she shared that the organization has been continuing its “cohesive school programs for students, drop outs and career seeking beneficiaries” and that these programs still need support.

Catriona also brought up the organization's Christmas family food bucket, which people could take part in by donating money as low as PhP750.

Thanks to Catriona's efforts, last year's Christmas family food bucket drive was able to send care packages to 1,000 families, thanks to the generosity of donors.

This is just one advocacy that Catriona has been involved in over the past few months. Back in June, Catriona took part in an HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) forum in Singapore, delivering a talk that she considers as her “most meaningful” one.

Catriona was invited to the forum as a LoveYourself ambassador and presented the group's “initiatives and collaboration to empower the HIV community” as part of the panelists of the session “Exploring Opportunities in Reducing Stigma & Discrimination”.

Catriona also raised funds for Metro Manila Pride during Pride Month this year by publicizing a limited-edition capsule released by the brand COS, whose profits were given to Metro Manila Pride.

Catriona is also involved in arts advocacy, working as an ambassador for the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
