In a report by Cata Tibayan for 24 Oras Weekend, Ysabel called this new venture her and her mom's "passion project."

"Ever since naman po talaga, 'yung love for baking is na sa 'min na po ng mom ko. It's about time na ituro n'ya sa 'kin 'yung recipes n'ya," Ysabel said.

Maria Ysabel's Cakes and Pastries sells cakes, breads, cookies, gourmet bottled specialties, and savory entree dishes. The shop is also open for online orders.

Besides acting and being an entrepreneur, Ysabel currently studies law.

She is part of the cast of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 entry Firefly directed by Zig Dulay.
