Julie Anne San Jose to unleash the ultimate performer in her via 'Marian'

Hitting the high notes has always been Julie Anne San Jose’s forte. Being a 9-time platinum award-winning recording artist says a lot about her talent, but the singer-actress is keen on pushing the envelope. She will do just that in Marian.

Expect a different Julie Anne San Jose as she takes the stage to sing and dance. Pumping up the energy will be a weekly thing for her and she is absolutely loving it.

On dancing, she said, “Isa din po ito sa mga kaya kong gawin. Siyempre po, since this is a dance show, kumbaga nae-enhance ko po at nadedevelop ko po ‘yung sarili ko sa pagsasayaw. Gusto ko po kasing maging kasing galing ni Ate Marian sa pagsasayaw.”

She did not appear in the pilot episode last June 21 because she was doing a show in the States when they taped. Her participation in the next episodes is something definitely worth watching out for.

Marian director Louie Ignacio had nothing but good words to say about the total performer, who would be collaborating with other performers in her own musical segment.

“Nag-invite kami ng mga singers, magkakaroon ng mga rappers. Ico-collaborate nila ang music with Julie at iinvite namin lahat ng napakagagaling na DJs dito sa Pilipinas, tapos mapapansin ninyo sa segment niya ‘yung mga arrangement ng music niya, kakaiba,” said Direk Louie.

He added, “Hindi niyo po ito mapapanood sa ibang shows na ginawa niya. Dito lamang po sa Marian. Isang malaking bonggang palabas ang Marian at dadagdagan pa ng kulay ni Julie.”
