Artsy Wednesday with Solenn Heussaff and GMA Gives

A colorful morning was organized by GMA together with multi-talented actress, Solenn Heussaff. Solenn together with the people behind GMA Gives gathered together for a painting tutorial with their beneficiary, the kids from Daang Tubo (UP Chapter).
Solenn who is known as an actress and host is also a recreational painter. She started painting at three years old together with her siblings.
“Well siyempre it’s fun naman, tapos ako, I love painting. It’s fun to share what you do to others kahit hindi ako art major and hobby lang ito,” she said.
Solenn shared that she started painting at a young age through Saturday art classes. “May mga classes ako dati, ‘Yung mga Saturday classes na kapag yung ayaw ng mga parents na nasa bahay yung mga bata, ‘yung ganoon,” she quipped.
Apart from sharing her talent in painting, she also showed some of the paintings that she made.
“Nahanap ko silang [mga painting] lahat. Marami pa ako sa bahay. Ito yung mga oil and acrylic painting from 1992 to 1994,” she shared. Solenn added that she brought her paintings so that the kids will know how a painting would look like. She also showed the kids the proper techniques by having an on-the-spot painting session.
64 kids participated in the activity, and three paintings were chosen as winners by GMA Gives.
