A few days before the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival comes to an end, vlogger and TV host Alex Gonzaga watched Firefly and she could not help but cry at the end of the movie.

She shared on her Instagram stories a photo of Firefly's official movie poster where she also wrote, “[Mamamatay] ako [kakaiyak].”

Alex also praised the storyline of the movie and its child star, Euwenn Mikaell who played the role of Tonton. She noted Euwenn's cuteness and remarkable performance in the movie where he won the Best Child Performer during the MMFF Gabi ng Parangal.

The TV host even shared a solo picture of Euwenn, proving her admiration of the child star. Her maternal instincts then shone brighter than ever because of his character in the fantasy film.

She wrote, “Gusto ko lalo maging mommy dahil sa character mo.”

Euwenn, being the grateful and down-to-earth kid that he is, thanked Alex Gonzaga on his Instagram story as well.

But what Alex made cry harder was her husband, Mikee Morada. She said Tonton's character reminded her of Mikee as a child who would cry and search for his mother. She even shared a childhood photo of Mikee in her Instagram story.

Alex is one of the many moviegoers touched by the compelling story of Firefly.

It was the official entry of GMA Pictures to the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival starring Alessandra de Rosi and Euwenn Mikaell, and directed by Zig Dulay.

They were also joined by Yayo Aguila, Epi Quizon, and Cherry Pie Picache. Together with them are Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Kokoy de Santos, and many more.

Max Collins and Dingdong Dantes also appeared in the movie.

Firefly also proved its excellence during the MMFF Gabi ng Parangal wherein they won three awards, namely, Best Picture, Best Screenplay for Angeli Atienza, and Euwenn Mikaell as the Best Child Performer.
