Robin Padilla's advice to Kylie: 'Maghanap ka ng tunay na barako'

In light of Kylie Padilla’s recent breakup with Kapuso actor Aljur Abrenica, her dad Robin, has a piece of advice for her.
“Maghanap ka ng tunay na barako,” said the famous action star.
“'Yung barakong Pilipino, 'yung may dugong barako… para hindi ka naiiyak, hindi ka nasasaktan,” he added, smiling.
The Bad Boy of Philippine Cinema shared how Kylie is currently living with him and his wife Mariel Rodriguez. According to him, the suggestion came from Mariel herself.
“Sa amin nakatira [si Kylie ngayon]. Nung pagdating niya galing sa Australia, 'yun ang unang sinabi ni Mariel. ‘Dito mo dalhin [si Kylie],’” he disclosed with StarTalk.
Robin also revealed that Mariel and Kylie are good friends. While Kylie tries to recover from the breakup, Mariel has been nothing but helpful and supportive. “Naiintindihan niya 'yun, 'yung pinagdadaanan [ni Kylie]. Magkaibigan kasi sila eh,” he said.
He clarified, however, that Mariel is not assuming the responsibility of being a mom to Kylie or any of his children. “Hindi naman pumapapel si Mariel na parang nanay, ganun. Hindi. Isa lang ang nanay [ni Kylie] at si Liezl (Sicangco) lang 'yun,” he asserted.
Moreover, he appreciates how Mariel serves as the link between him and his children. “Laging bridge 'yun. Siya 'yung tulay namin ng mga anak ko kasi syempre babae 'yun,” he said. “Marami akong hindi naiintindihan sa pagka-babae dahil barako tayong tunay.”
