Heart Evangelista and Pauleen Luna are definitely more than beauty. These two Kapuso darlings prove that they have the brains and talent as they vie for the title of Female TV host of the Year at the Yahoo Celebrity Awards.
In her teen years, Heart Evangelista began as a matinee sweetheart. She formally became a Kapuso in 2008, and immediately got a starring role as Emily San Juan in GMA’s Codename: Asero. No sooner she headlined a lot of drama series as in Luna Mystika, Full House, Dwarfina, Luna Blanca, Legacy and Forever.
Heart also did hosting jobs as early as 2005. She got her breakthrough in a fashion talk show named after her, Q’s Fashionista by Heart. At present, Heart enjoys hosting in GMA’s iBilib, Sunday All Stars, StarTalk, and GMA News TV’s WeddingsTV.
Pauleen Luna started her career in showbiz by joining the Little Miss Philippines in 1995. She transferred to GMA after a decade and took on both bida and kontrabida roles like in GMA’s Etheria: Ang Ikalimang Kaharian ng Encantadia, Ikaw Sana, Genesis and The Borrowed Wife.
A year after becoming a Kapuso, she joined the roster of the wittiest hosts in Eat Bulaga and ever since became a certified Dabarkads. To this day, Pauleen is considered a staple personality in Philippine TV’s longest running noon-time variety show.
