Jennylyn Mercado says her relationship with Mark Herras is solid

Ex-couple Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras were each other’s date at the recently concluded Yahoo Celebrity Awards last July 18. Is this a sign that the two have rekindled their flame?
We talked to Jennylyn backstage after her acceptance speech for her Female Kontabida of The Year award. She got the most votes for her portrayal of the cunning Roxanne in Rhodora X.
“First time kong manalo ng kontrabida award. First kontrabida role ko rin. Hindi ko inexpect na doon ako mananalo,” she said.
She also said that she found her comfort zone in playing kontrabida roles. Jennylyn shared, “Parang mas madali kasi para sa akin. Walang effort. Hindi ba mas mahirap umiyak at maapi kaysa sa ikaw na ‘yung sasampal at sasabunot.”
She also noted that working with Mark Herras in the show made it easier for her because they know each other so well and have gone through a lot together.
“’Yung relationship namin, ‘yung friendship namin, solid pa rin. Gusto naming maging role models sa mga love teams na magkakaibigan, sa mga mag-ex na pero friends pa rin talaga kahit ano ‘yung pinagdaanan namin at kahit anong mangyari,” she said.
She added, “Kumbaga, para sa akin, si Mark ‘yung isa sa mga pinaka comfortable ako na makatrabaho and para ko nang kapatid iyan. Pamilya na kami. As long as si Mark, walang problema.”
Jennylyn also said that she is friends with all of her ex-boyfriends, including Dennis Trillo.
