With a successful career and a beautiful relationship with Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, what else can a Kapuso Primetime King wish for?
Jose Sixto Gonzales Dantes III or Dingdong is very happy and contented with his life.
For his 34th birthday, he wished, “Pag tumatanda ka, mas dumarami ‘yung responsibilidad mo, mas dumarami ‘yung challenges, mas dumarami ‘yung hamon. So siyempre ang wini-wish ko, parati akong mabigyan ng lakas para makayanan ang lahat at magawa ko siya with flying colors.”
He is also thankful for his bountiful blessings. He said, “Nagpapasalamat ako that there are always good opportunities. Nagpapasalamat din ako always sa guidance.”
Versatile actor
Before Dingdong Dantes became the most sought-after leading man today, he first got attention as a bubbly three-year-old in a dairy product commercial. In his teens, he already had girls screaming as he moved and grooved with the all-male dance group ‘Abztract Dancers.’
Dingdong was introduced in the Kapuso Network as a matinee idol in the character of Inaki Torres in GMA’s youth-oriented show Thank God It’s Saturday (T.G.I.S.). It is said that this role put the spotlight on him and launched his career.
Dingdong later on took more serious and challenging roles. His first drama series was Sana’y Ikaw Na Nga where he played opposite Tanya Garcia. Around the same time, he also ventured into directing and hosting.
In 2009, Dingdong Dantes portrayed Sergio in the TV reprise of Marimar, where he was paired with reel and real sweetheart Marian Rivera. He was also seen portraying lead characters in the Filipino remake of Endless Love and Stairway to Heaven, I Heart You Pare, and Genesis.
He is seen today portraying Anthony in the hit drama series Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real, where he co-stars with Diamond Star Maricel Soriano and Lovi Poe.
Outside showbiz
Last March, Dingdong completed a degree in Business Administration, major in Marketing Management at the West Negros University. He also received the title Wesnecan Ambassador of Goodwill of Batch 2014.
Two months after, he was appointed by President Aquino as Commissioner-at-Large of the National Youth Commission.

Defying notions about showbiz relationships, Dingdong’s relationship with Marian is growing stronger even after five years.
Though the royal couple is busy with their separate endeavors, they always make sure to spend quality time by having simple dinners and traveling together.
