
Heart Evangelista shared some of her work as the recently appointed president of the Senate Spouses Foundation, Inc. (SSFI).
The Senate Spouses Foundation is an organization of Philippine senators' wives and husbands and was previously led by Audrey Tan Zubiri, the wife of Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri.
Heart shared her immersing herself in her new role. "It inspires me as @senatespousesph president and representative to meet with agencies and people who align with SSFI's mission, like the PCSO (Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office), the principal government agency for raising and providing funds for health programs and medical assistance."
She added, "Thank you PCSO GM (general manager) Mel Robles for taking the time to meet with us to explore ways we can work together to help our people and the community. We look forward to working with your CHARIteam!"
Heart took oath as the new Senate Spouses Foundation president on June 5.
According to the Senate of the Philippines' official website, "The SSFI is involved in socio-civic activities such as building homes for the elderly, conducting medical and dental missions, gift-giving and feeding programs for street children and the needy in marginalized communities and carrying-out relief operations during disasters, among others."
