'Dapat lang kay Direk Dom mapunta ang Ismol Family' - Carla Abellana

Naging direktor ni Carla Abellana si Direk Dominic Zapata sa phenomenal drama series na My Husband's Lover. Muli silang magkasama ngayon sa sitcom na Ismol Family, ang isa pang TV project ni Carla bukod sa primetime show na My Destiny. Isang OFW ang ginagampanan ni Carla at asawa niya dito si Ryan Agoncillo, na nakasama din niya sa last few episodes ng My Husband's Lover.
"Ganoon pa din naman [kami]. Kasi si Direk Dom napakakulit na direktor eh. Dapat lang na mapunta sa kanya ang Ismol Family. Very kenkoy, very makulit, funny. Iba 'yung brilliance niya talaga," paglalarawan ni Carla kay Direk Dom.
Hindi rin daw ito ang unang pagkakataon na sabay umeere ang projects niya, pero first time daw na sitcom ang kasabay ng kanyang soap opera.
"This is not the first time that it has happened kasi I remember before, I have done a soap, tapos mayroon akong parang talent search that I host. But this is the first time that I have a soap and a sitcom at the same time. This is also the first sitcom that I'll be doing. Ang madalas kasing mangyari is may soap tapos may isa pang hosting."
Pero kahit ganito ang sitwasyon, Carla welcomes the challenge not just of having two projects but also welcomes comedy with open arms.
At dahil muli silang magkasama ni Direk Dom, hindi naiwasang matanong si Carla kung open ba siya sa idea na magkaroon ng My Husband's Lover Book 2. Ito ang kanyang naging pahayag.
"Siguro if you asked me eight months ago when My Husband's Lover was still making a buzz, I would say yes, of course. Kasi it's the working environment, the overall experience, my co-actors and our director, 'yun 'yung ayaw mo pa sanang matapos. But all good things come to an end. Pero ngayon I have mixed emotions. If you ask me again now, it's such a big risk. Although My Husband's Lover was already such a big risk in the first place, nakakatakot lang magsugal. Ang ganda na kasi ng impact, maganda na 'yung iniwan namin sa isip at puso ng viewers."
