Noong nagpa-enlist si Rocco bilang maging Navy reservist, sinabi niya na gusto niya maging mabuting impluwensya sa mga kabataan.
Bukod sa pagiging Navy reservist, sumabak din si Rocco sa kabi-kabilang training bilang parte ng kanyang preparasyon para sa role sa 'Descendants of the Sun -- the Philippine Adapation' bilang si Diego Ramos.
