For anyone who has gone through an audition, there is almost always a funny, strange or embarrassing story.

In the case of Chariz Solomon, her StarStruck audition combines a fashion booboo and the inspiration to live a comfortable life.

The comedienne remembers that they were required to wear a white shirt during one of the callbacks. “Ako, hindi ko makakalimutan 'yung audition namin na dapat naka-white top kami,” she said.

It was extra memorable because she didn’t have enough money to buy clothes for the audition. She thus resorted to rummaging through not only her closet, but also that of her brothers’.

“Wala akong pambili ng white shirt so ang sinuot ko 'yung damit ng kapatid ko na I think five or six years old then,” she fondly recalled.

With not much money, her then baby brother’s top and full of hope for the future, she danced her way through the audition which led to building up the Chariz Solomon that she is today.

“(Yung shirt ng kapatid ko) parang hanging blouse siya tapos naka-super low waist ako na pants na loose tapos nagsayaw ako ng bonggang bonggang Shakira na dance step, tapos nagustuhan nila,” she shared.

The decision to try out, even with a few challenges to conquer, was one of the bravest decisions she has made. Not only does she have good stories to share but she went through a lot of character-building experiences.

“Yung StarStruck, malaking bahagi siya ng pagkatao ko ngayon,” she declared.
